I started using it about 3 weeks ago on my toy fox Terrier, Roo. His breath was so bad he was forever banned from the bedroom. Roo licked me after the first week and my hand had a normal dog breath smell, instead of the usual rancid smell he has had for years. So, for that it works great. He seems normal with no side effects and hopefully it really does remove tarter and plaque which smells horrible.
