The grind consistancy is perfect. The machine is well built, and it seems like it's very durable. The only concern that I would have is that I think at it's most coarse grind, the grinds may still be too fine for French Press. I don't think there is a way to calibrate it either, so if you're looking to do French Press coffee with this machine, you may not have good luck with it.
